ENGLISH CLASSES
TheCharity Group of VA- Affection( CGOVAA) with the devoted contribution of sister AN LIEN
have supported since 2007 two English classes ( Anh Ngu Tinh Thuong) at Phap Bao pagoda, HoiAn, Quang Nam,
at night time from 7-9 PM , 3 nights MON,WED, FRI to teach basic English
and some simple conversation sentences to the poor teenagers.
These English classes have been organized to accomplish the expectation of
CGOVAA to help the needy youngsters to know some popular English while looking for a job at the hotel or restaurant where they are in contact with English speaking customers. Sister An Lien told us that this year (2010) there are more than 100 students attended these English classes, with 6 volunteered Australian teachers for reading and conversation and 2 regular Vietnamese teachers paid by CGOVAA. The book using for these English classes is “ SIDE BY SIDE” with the CD read out every page of this book by English teacher of West Springfield High school Rachel Alberico Le and Attorney Sam Quang Le.
